Con Edison Substation Explosion - Alternate Angle

Amateur footage from the Williamsburg waterfront in Brooklyn captures the moment a Con Edison substation at East 14th Street and FDR Drive exploded during Hurricane Sandy, knocking out power to many residents in Lower Manhattan. An estimated 230,000 people in Manhattan are without power, and it will take at least a week for electricity to be fully restored.
