Scooter Rams Stationary Train ... Train Moves .... Scooter Falls

Was that a woman driving ? Just askin ... CTV footage shows the person riding the mobility scooter bump awkwardly into the rear cabin of a train, after failing to correct her steering, and plunge onto the tracks as the train departs the platform. The drama unfolded at Mooroolbark station in Melbourne. It shows the woman, aged in her 50s, lying motionless on the railway bed for about 30 seconds before pulling herself part-way onto one of the tracks. Several commuters are seen running to help the woman before paramedics arrive and lift her off the track with a stretcher. The woman reportedly was treated at the scene before being transport to hospital suffering hip pain but in a stable condition. Metro spokeswoman Larisa Tait said railway staff alerted the operator's control centre to stop trains and called an ambulance.
