39,000 yr-old Mammoth to go on Display in Taiwan

A 39,000-year-old woolly mammoth found in Siberia is set to go on public display in Taiwan this weekend. Yuka was found in 2010 entombed inside the arctic ice of Siberia. It was the first time the whole body of a young mammoth was found, with its soft tissue and blonde-red wool well-preserved. Also on the show are the remains of a 39,000-year-old frozen Rhinoceros called Kolyma, named after the river in Siberia where it was discovered.
