Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) Makes Landfall Philippines


The Philippines are being pounded by Super Typhoon Haiyan. It's being reported as the most powerful storm on the planet in 30 years. Haiyan was recorded packing winds of up to 314 kilometers winds as it made landfall earlier today. Television pictures already reveal widespread damage to parts of the central Philippines and authorities are warning of floods and landslides.The head of the Philippines Red Cross, Gwendolyn Pang, has told Asia Pacific even those who've sought emergency shelter are still at risk. file]2e3433c042a6
