Deer rescued from drowning while swimming across a lake

Dramatic video has emerged of a herd of deer swimming across a lake in Alaska. Two of the fawn begin to struggle and are rescued from the water. The deer were then transported to the other side of the lake so they could rejoin their group. From the OP ..... 10 young Sitka Blacktailed deer tried to swim over 2 miles across Kiliuda Bay on Kodiak Island in 50 deg. water. 1/2 way across they changed their mind and turned around. We noticed that 1 started swimming circles and did not follow. Then it swam to our boat and would not leave it was so tired. So we pulled it aboard and followed the rest back to the beach. We kept it calm and warm then dropped it off on the beach. 1 of the 9 could not get out of the water. (the littlest one) It laid there in the surf struggling and was not doing very well. So our youngest son, Sam ran off the boat and carried it out of the water and to the beach. Now out of the water It warmed up and finally joined the rest in the grass. Alaskan story all the way. Thanks to Kodiak Adventures for use of the footage
