Germany: Watch 300kg woman be lifted by crane from Berlin apartment

It took over four hours for the Berlin fire brigade to move a woman weighing 300kg (660 pounds) out of her Prenzlauer Berg apartment to be taken to hospital on Wednesday. According to Rolf Erbe, Director of Operations of the Berlin Fire Service, a call was received on Wedneday morning at 0720 CET (0520 GMT) for a medical emergency involving a "person of excessive weight." After arriving at the site on Werner-Kube-Strasse, the brigade was forced to break the window of her room wide open to be able to squeeze through the double-sized bed that the woman was laying on.
