Spanish Navy ram Greenpeace activists 15/11

Canary Islands 15/11 A 23-year-old Italian activist was injured after the Greenpeace dinghy he was travelling in was rammed by the Spanish Navy, off the coast of the Canary Islands, on November 15. The activist, who is a member of the Arctic Sunrise boat crew, was taken to a hospital in Las Palmas, where he received attention for a fracture and cuts. The Arctic Sunrise has been in Canary Islands waters to demonstrate against a Repsol drillship, the Rowan Renaissance, which is carrying out surveys for possible future oil extraction in the region.
