Magnificent Ice Flow in River After Ice Dam BurstA spectacular view of the Wild Ammonoosuc RIver Ice Flow in Woodsville, NH that was taken by Alex Geller in 2011. The ice flow transitioning from dynamic, mass movement of ice to a static, mass jam. This jam is due to the constriction of two bridges crossing the river channel. Eventually the river undermines the ice jam due to the hydraulic head upstream of the ice jam.
