NYPD Officer suffered a serious head injury Monday morning while horsing around on the job.

KENSINGTON -- An NYPD officer was injured in an incident involving a police cruiser in Brooklyn Monday morning. You see a police officer hanging onto the hood of a police cruiser. When the driver hits the brakes the officer flies off the hood and onto the street. We're told it happened around 8 a.m. Monday in the Kensington section of Brooklyn. The cruiser is heading down Seton Place. Right before the intersection with Parkville Avenue, the car stops but the officer doesn't. He is flung off. He was taken to Lutheran Medical Center for non- life threatening head injuries. It's reported he was conscious and alert at the scene which is right next to the 70th precinct.
