Men Clinging To Esky Rescued From Moreton Bay After Their Boat Capsized

Dramatic footage has shown the moment a rescue helicopter pulled two men to safety, after their boat capsized and killed their mate in Brisbane's Moreton Bay. One man, 57, died and the other two - aged 24 and 30 - are recovering in hospital from hypothermia and fatigue after the incident occurred this morning. An investigation into the tragic incident, which occurred about 16km north east of Cape Moreton, about 7.30am. Footage, shot from a rescue helicopter, has shown rescue crews lowering down a winch to pull one of the men to safety. Shirtless and wearing only boardshorts the man can been seen fighting his way through the water to the rescue crew. The third man had already been pulled from the water. An Australian Maritime Safety Authority spokeswoman said the chopper was dispatched about 7.30am after an unregistered beacon was detected and a satellite provided a possible position for the 5.6 metre boat. Rescue personnel on board the helicopter said they initially couldn't find any signs of the missing trio, until they spotted two men clinging to a blue esky. Police will prepare a report for the coroner
