I've tried a couple of times to raise these but haven't had any luck. They require a regulated amount of moisture and I've gone from not enough to too much. I will try again sometime. They really are cool.

I had one when I was little. I had no patience, so I would kill the flies myself and try to feed them to the plant. I don't think it lasted more than a couple of weeks before it started to die.

That thing bothers me. How long is it going to keep the fly alive like that? Isn't it supposed to crush it? :(

No, they don't crush. The fly is dissolved slowly by chemicals.
