A loaded coal train crashes into cars left by someone that failed to reline a switch


Oct 9, 2006- BNSF Railway (BNSF), Cactus, Texas A southward loaded coal train, operating at 36 mph, entered a siding in non-signal territory and struck cars that were sitting there. As a result of the collision, 26 cars and two locomotives were derailed, both crewmen were injured and damages are estimated to exceed $1,000,000.
