Monorail in Wuppertal, Germany hit by crane

On August 5th, a loading crane hit a suspended monorail train in Wuppertal, Germany, as the crane was ilegally operated in the vicinity of the train tracks. The operator suffered a broken leg as he was thrown on the street at the moment of impact. Luckily, no one of the 30 passengers nor the train driver were injured. The damage has been estimated at approx. 100,000 EUR ($150,000) and the injured crane operator is now facing a lawsuit.
