I don't think the speaker is being serious. I think he is an atheist and this video is meant to be satirical. You can tell by the way he presents the information. It's kind of Stephen Colbert sort of thing where he pretends to be one side but is actually giving reasons, through a sarcastic round-about way, why you should favor the other side.
