Chunk of weather map hits TV weatherman

Sat 1 November 2008 Sky News weather forecaster Francis Wilson was broadcasting live when a piece of East Anglia fell and hit him on the head. A chunk of the 'news wall', the backdrop used by weather and news presenters, crashed down and landed on the surprised weatherman. Wilson, who has been dubbed the 'coolest man in the world' by rocker Rod Stewart, was unperturbed and continued to present the bulletin on Thursday night. He only commented: 'Oh, that was interesting. That was part of East Anglia and the South East.' Wilson has been presenting the weather for over 20 years and has won the title of Best Television Weather Presenter Worldwide on several occasions.
