I do love the violence though.

Bullhonky! Violent videogames are ok. Its just some idiots that go around saying they got the idea to kill someone from a game.

I once attended a seminar on killing by Lt. Col. David Grossman. This subject was part of that seminar. He relates the story of Michael Carneal who was a "school shooter" in Kentucky. He went to his school with a gun, having never fired a gun before in his life, he fired 8 shots without moving from where he was standing. Of the 8 shots he hit 8 kids, of the 8, 5 were head shots. The FBI, according to Grossman, said that the average FBI agent hits 1 in 5 at that range. It was discovered later that Carneal played a shooter video game often in which head shots got him bonus points.

Certainly not everyone who plays violent video games will become a school shooter of violent sociopath, however, there may be other, less obvious mood altering effects that are more common.

No..... Wait did you say intelligence? I wouldn't know since I don't have intelligence. But since I saw this I know have another argument in favor of me playing video games! YAY THOSE GUYS!!!!
