Bees Swarm Sheriff's Car

A mechanical problem on a truck hauling hives along North Carolina U.S. Highway 64 brought a Wake County Sheriff?s deputy up close and personal with lots and lots of bees Tuesday (08-17).The truck, carrying sixty boxes of bees from Dobson to Rocky Mount, broke down on the highway. When the deputy arrived it didn?t take long for the insects to decide they really liked his car. A bee keeper from North Carolina State University was called in to use smoke to try and corral the insects and return them to their hives.
