On the Fire Line with LA Helitack and Track Attack

About as close as most of you are all going to get in this quot;In your facequot; clip of firefighters attacking a brush fire during the 2007 California Firestorms. This was filmed in Tonner Canyon in Orange County. It sits on the border of Los Angeles and Orange County California. These Wildland Firefighters are from LA County Fire Camp 5, who flew into this fire and attacked it with handcrews and Helitack. The Sirens you hear are from the Helicopter alerting the Crews of a water drop.Depending on the altitude of the Copter, these water drops can and have knocked firefighters on their asses and caused injuries like throwing them off cliffs...thus the siren warning. In this instance, Iapos;m sure the FFapos;s appreciated and welcomed the shower. This is extremely rough terrain. This area is home to the Southern California Mountain Lion Corridor, massive Pacific Rattlesnakes,Mule deer and other wildlife. It is located in between Brea and Diamond Bar California, along the 57 Freeway. The odd Poppy looking flowers you see are actually the Star Thistle, a very brutal razor sharp invasive weed that shreds even firefighters clothing and skin. Nobody said this job was going to be easy! This area is where the uploader cut his teeth on learning to fight Wildland fires, hunt, ride horses, cattle roundups, hike and fish. At one time, this area was home to one of the largest Boy Scout Camps in America, the Firestone Boyscout Camp. I grew up here. It is also home to a very large herd of Texas Longhorn Cattle. Great Water Drop Footage that Iapos;ve seen filmed.
