School Bus Driver Tosses 6-Year-Old To Floor

The video depicts the Snohomish County School District bus driver yanking a 6-year-old girl to the ground and shouting at her. School bus surveillance video shows the driver, Dan Taylor, hollering at children, including 6-year old Kynzie Reavely, to turn around and sit down. At one point, with the bus still rolling, Taylor reaches back and grabs Kynzie by the back-pack. He then pulls her up and slams her to the floor of the bus. Kynzie's mother is accusing the district of trying to cover up the incident. "The bus driver put his hands on her and that really, really made me mad," said Kynzie's mom, Ashley Reavely. "I'm disappointed and I think everybody should realize that, even though their kids are at school, and these people are supposed to be taking care of them, they're not always doing their jobs." The driver appeared to be losing control as he continued to drive the bus. Just moments after he manhandled Kynzie, he stopped the bus and appeared to grab a boy sitting just behind her. Ashley Reavely is also angry at the school's response. She says she wasn't contacted by the school until three days after the incident happened and even then she says she was told it happened to someone else's child. She also said most parents at the school have no idea the incident took place. The school district would not answer any questions, but did release a statement saying the bus driver Dan Taylor, was immediately placed on leave and subsequently resigned. The Snohomish County Prosecutors Office is currently reviewing the case to determine if it will file assault charges against Taylor.
